AstroDoc was born after Dr. Samir Qamar, one of America’s first concierge doctors and Direct Primary Care doctors, took up the task of caring for his ailing parents at his home. His father previously had a surprise heart attack that led to amputations. His mother had cancer.

As he experienced challenges navigating health care from the patient side, he realized how complicated it must be for regular people to coordinate medical services. He was also shocked by what people had to pay out of pocket for all aspects of routine healthcare.

Wanting to make high-access medical care accessible to everyone, AstroDoc came to life in 2023. Combining available smartphone technology with amazing service, AstroDoc’s mission is to provide the highest level of care at a price almost anyone can afford.
